BSNL Employees Union protest for demands at GMTD, CTO Compound

Members of BSNL Employees Union Jabalpur Unit staged demonstration against BSNL authorities for pressing their long awaited demands at GMTD, CTO Compound, on Wednesday.

During the demonstration, employees’ representatives raised demand to start functioning of 50 towers in rural areas, action against employees involved in medical scam, improving marketing strategy of BSNL services, stopping under pressure working in BSNL, stopping partial transfer of employees, availability of took kits for repairing fault in landline connections, maintaining cleanliness arrangements at offices, stopping transfers in rural areas, safety of women employees and implementing labour laws for convenience of workers.
Employees’ leaders Motilal Raidas, Saket Shukla, Rajendra Singh, Vishnu Choudhary, S V Sana, SNS Chouhan, Rajendra Singh, N L Patel addressed the demonstration and alleged that senior officers of BSNL Jabalpur Telecom District are involved in corrupt practices and customers are facing trouble for repairing of their landline and broadband connections. Officers are trying to provide undue advantage to private companies operators.
They charged that 50 mobile towers in rural areas are not functioning since along time but officers are being to take necessary action for repairing of faults and providing quality services to BSNL customers. Senior administrative officers are trying to hush-up the issues of medical scam, marketing scam and SIM scam and harassing the employees by transferring them in rural areas.
Employees’ leaders informed that they will stage series demonstrations on every Wednesday to highlight unethical practices in BSNL Jabalpur Telecom Circle.
On the occasion, Hanumant Patel, Chitra Bhatia, Lullu Rai, Satish Pandey, Anoop Pandey, Prakash Manjhi, Lakhan patel, Rajaram Sahu, Bhagwati Pandey, RK Sharma and a large number of members were present.
