BSNL launches new schemes in Nagaland

In an effort to revive its landline services which has been adversely affected largely by the increasing number of mobile users, NE-II Circle of the State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) which caters to the three states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Nagaland has launched “Experience Landline 49 Plan,” a promotional offer for acquiring new landline connection at Rs. 49 per month for a period of 90 days with free installation plus free BSNL SIM card.

Addressing media persons at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited  office Dimapur Monday, BSNL officials stated the scheme, launched on August 15, offers highly subsidised call rates.
In addition to its existing ‘free night calling’ from 9 p.m to 7 a.m, the telecom company has also launched “Unlimited Free Calling” on all Sundays from landlines to all networks.
Officials also stated that BSNL has increased the download speed under unlimited broadband plan from 512 kbps to 1 Mbps.
The company also launched another schemes called “Mobile Student Plan” and would re-launch its “Free SIM Offer” in the next week.
