THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Calls made from BSNL landline phones to any
network would be free of cost on Sundays. This is in addition to the
existing offer of free night calling (9 pm to 7 am), on all days, that
was introduced in May last year.
The offer is seen as a bid to increase BSNL's landline customer base which has seen a huge erosion over the pat few years.
The state run telecom company would also introduce an attractive offer under which new landline customers need to pay only Rs 49 as monthly rental.
BSNL Kerala Circle is expected to formally announce the new offers on Tuesday.
