BSNL users to get free 2GB 4G internet daily, free calls and SMS at just Rs 339

Once Reliance Jio unveiled their Jio Prime membership where, they gave users a chance to sign up for Prime membership and avail 28 GB 4G data (1GB per day) and free unlimited calling at a rate of Rs 303 per month, over and above the Reliance Jio Prime annual membership fee of Rs 99.
Following the footsteps of Reliance Jio, other telecom operators in the country have also launched similar schemes offering 1GB data with unlimited calling for approximately Rs 350.

However, BSNL, the state owned telecom operator now plans to increase the amount of data offered to subscribers and beat Jio at their own game. According to recent reports, BSNL is planning on announcing an all new plan offering users much more data than competitors. The plan is not yet official but is expected to be announced soon. It is not an all new plan that BSNL is launching but rather, it is just a revamp of the already existing plan, costing Rs 339.

Under the new plan, all BSNL users will not get 2GB of 4G/3G/2G data (depending on their circle) for 28 days at just Rs 339. Apart from that, the plan also comes with free calling and SMS> However, there is a limit on the number of “free calls” and they will be restricted to 25 minutes of calling per day. After the 25 minutes are up, the calls would be charged at 25 paise per minute. The offers are not permanent and are promotional offers. So far, there is no word on how long these offers will be extended. OnePlus launches OnePlus 3T Matte Black limited edition phone in partnership with Colette

According to the present pack of Rs 339 that BSNL offers, the mobile operator offers free unlimited calling and 1GB data fo 28 days. While the new pack does seem more exciting as it offers more data, in comparison to other plans, it still fails as others continue to offer free unlimited calling too. While there are calling caps on plans of Airtel, Vodafone and Idea, the caps are much higher than BSNL’s 25 minutes limit. However, the new plan will cater to the segment that needs high internet speeds but does not make too many calls.

Below is the expected chart of the plan. While the plan is not yet active, there are only estimates and the actual plan, when launched, might come with certain other features too. Under the new pack, the features of the current Rs 99-Rs 149 pack remain unchanged.
