BSNL takes on Jio with unlimited voice calling plans

A week after Reliance took the telecom  market  by storm with its launch of new Jio Prime offer, BSNL has now unveiled its new voice calling plans for the subscribers. The new plan is called Dil kholke bol  and is available across every circle in India. BSNL has launched this plan only for its post-paid users for now.

Under the new plan, users can make unlimited national calls to any network . Users  will have to pay Rs 599 per month for this offer for the first four months and Rs  799 after the promotional period. Along with free voice calls, a 6GB data benefit will also be given to the subscribers per month. However, after four months, the data limit will be reduced to only 3GB per month. The plan will work even on roaming.

BSNL last year in December also unveiled several new plans to take on its rival companies like Airtel and Jio.  The state-run company launched unlimited voice calling plans for BSNL to BSNL starting at Rs 99.

Telecom companies are introducing new data and voice calling plans to match up with Jio. Recently Airtel also launched a new data plan. For a recharge of Rs 145, the company is offering 14GB 3G/4G data. The pack also gives unlimited Airtel-to-Airtel calls. For unlimited calls across every network in India, user has to pay Rs  349. The company has also killed the roaming charges starting April 1.

Jio Prime membership which was announced almost a week ago by Mukesh Ambani is going live from today. Users will be able to subscribe to the annual Prime service with a one time (for one year) price of Rs 99. Once the payment is done, he/she will eligible for special Jio plans, including the Rs 303 plan that will give users 30GB 4G data per month, along with unlimited data at lowered speed, unlimited free calls and the unlimited messages.
