BSNL launches roaming-free unlimited voice call plan

NEW DELHI: State-run telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) launched an unlimited voice calling plan, ‘Dil Khol Ke Bol’ at Rs 599 a month for its postpaid customers across India’s 22 telecom circles including calls while on roaming.

in addition to voice minutes, BSNL subscribers can avail 6GB of data every month until first four months 3GB of data thereafter every month, According to a report by TelecomTalk.

Private sector rival Bharti Airtel on Monday abolished roaming charges.

The consumers of state-owned operator will have to pay Rs 599 per month for this offer for the first four months and Rs. 799 would be charged post the promotional period.

BSNL customers will be charged at Rs 99 fa month for international roaming every month. However, charges may vary depending upon the country, according to plan details.

With the entry of billionaire Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio Infocomm, the price war among telcos have intensified which is eventually benefiting customers at large, analysts say.
