Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is conducting Junior Engineer (JE) (erstwhile TTA) from 24 to 29 September and today was the first day of BSNL JE TTA exam for which thousands of candidates turned up at the designated test venues. The test would also be conducted through next four days till Thursday.
The exam is being conducted to shortlist the candidates for filling 2700 vacant posts of Junior Engineer Erstwhile Telecom Technical Assistant in 27 Telecom Circles of BSNL.
Earlier this year, BSNL decided to conduct the recruitment test through online mode. This is being the first time that BSNL is organizing its test through online mode. The test date was initially fixed as September 25, however, as the candidates complained of their admit cards bearing different dates, BSNL updated on its official site that the online exam would be conducted over a period of five days, from September 25 to 29.
As BSNL had mentioned in the official advertisement that the online exam may be conducted in multiple session depending up on the number of candidates, the authority decided to hold the exam over a period of five days.
BSNL JE online exam consisted of a single paper having 200 multiple choice questions. The paper was divided in three parts; General Ability Test, Basic Engineering and Specialization (as per the trade of candidates). Part 1 (GAT) consisted of 20 questions, while Part 2 & 3 had 90 questions each.
The candidates are required to qualify each section separately. The minimum qualifying marks for each part have been set as 30% for the candidates belonging to OC category and 20% for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category. In aggregate, the minimum qualifying marks stand at 40% and 33% in the same manner.
As of now, the candidates who have taken the BSNL JE TTA online exam on Sunday are advised to wait till the whole examination process ends as the answer keys of the online exam are expected to be released only once all the exams conclude. BSNL JE TTA answer key is expected to be released in the first week of October. This is not the exact duration as the actual report is yet to come.
