New Delhi, September 13 Facing problems from the existing private telecom operators over
the inter-connection points, Reliance Jio has entered into an agreement
with BSNL for providing it with intra-circle roaming points.
After the signing of the agreement, Anupam Shrivastava, CMD, BSNL, said, “We are focused on creating value for our customers through expanding our outreach and strengthening our network capabilities, especially in terms of quality. This agreement should benefit both our customers and create a strong, seamless support for both the networks.”
“This will also help BSNL monetise its huge network capabilities and provide high speed mobile broadband services to our customers. It is a win-win situation for us,” he added.
BSNL has vast geographical coverage across length & breadth of nation (except Delhi and Mumbai) whereas Jio with its all-IP, end-to-end 4G-LTE (4th generation) network is pioneering the latest technology to offer high-speed internet across the country. The strategic partnering will improve connectivity, thereby benefitting customers of both BSNL and Jio.
